The Guest Edit: Alexandra Carl
For this week's guest edit I asked the ultimate tastemaker Alexandra Carl for her current essential picks for spring from fashion to beauty and more.

In recent years, Carls’ core motivation has been focused on driving sustainable long-term change to the fashion industry. Alongside completing a Masters Course in sustainability and the circular economy at Cambridge University, Carl authored her debut book ‘COLLECTING FASHION’ this April. Published by Rizzoli, the 300-page piece of work shines a light on 20 prolific fashion collectors and their personal archives - from Michele Lamy and Zaha Hadid, to Alexander Fury and Hamish Bowles. Alex hopes to inspire us to delight in searching for pieces, treasure them, and keep for a lifetime.
I love this shoulder version of the Classic Birkin, it feels vintage yet fresh and feels like such a versatile bag for everyday.
Something fun and chic for an evening look, I would pair with an oversized blazer to balance out the sheerness.
I love searching for the perfect vintage bag and could do it forever, this one has been on my Wishlist forever and I keep going back to look at it on Vestiaire!
The perfect pairing for the mesh trouser. When I’m buying something I want to be able to wear it with multiple outfits, and I can think of countless combinations with this. Anything from an evening sheer pairing to denim and loafers during the day.
These are such a classic staple shoe, again the outfit combinations with these are endless. I love the contrast of these with an all white suit.
This vase is perfect to display spring flowers in, I love the unique designs that add some interest to your home.
For anyone who wants to be inspired to shop vintage and find unique pieces, the book I wrote! With so many prolific fashion collectors and their personal archives that will hopefully give others inspiration and ideas.
I love finding different, unique items especially those that I know I will treasure forever. These are such a good statement piece that will add a touch of fashion history to any evening look.
This candle smells amazing but it also feels like a piece of art for your home. I love that once you’ve burnt through it, you still have this beautiful stoneware piece to display. It could even double up as a trinket dish.
