The Edit: Hiking Essentials
An edit of my current go-to items for a hike from beauty, to clothing and more.
I’m currently writing this from a very balmy Ibiza. One of my favourite things to do here is go for a hike, the scenery is breathtaking, and walking is one of the best ways to see the surroundings, as well as get a workout in. So, here are some of my essentials I always wear/bring with me on a hike:
I rarely travel without these shorts, not only are they so easy to move in, but they also feel chic and fun with the panelling details on the sides. These are just the right length (not too short), with a flattering, high-waisted, seamless silhouette. Pair them with the 180 Sports Bra, or in this case - an Eres swimsuit.
Something that I really try and prioritise, especially when travelling is protecting my skin from the sun. I rotate between Alex Eagle caps and Vintage ones like this for a chic solution to sun protection.
On the same subject of protecting your skin from the sun, this is the best sun screen. It’s not sticky, smells amazing and is part of my daily routine.
I always carry a water bottle with me, it makes it easy to stay hydrated and is a chic addition to any look.
This is a staple in my closet, it’s designed to be that piece in your wardrobe that you can wear with literally anything. For a hike I’ll pair with the white Berwick shorts or the 180 Cycling Shorts.
These are always my go to activewear trainer. I think they’re a great addition to any look, whether you’re going for a hike, going to pilates or just wearing them with a pair of jeans and a t shirt.
The Berwick Shorts are the perfect throw on item, especially for hiking. They don’t feel restrictive at all, we designed them with an elasticated waistband and drawstring, they are so comfy and yet still feel elevated.
Thick socks are an activewear staple for me, whether I’m wearing them to pilates or on a hike. They feel cosy and add interest to any outfit.
We designed the Lexington Sunglasses to be worn on vacation and in the city. They are an all year-round, modern classic.
A really great shirt to throw on with leggings and a ribbed tank for an easy hiking look, or wear in the city for pre fall, with black trousers and sandals.
Possibility the chicest, yet still practical activewear bag. Wear as a crossbody, or just throw over your shoulder. Just the right size for a hike, or running errands after Pilates.
In addition to the activewear edit, here is some hiking outfit inspiration:
