The August Edit

Savouring the last bits of summer before autumn comes.

I love this bag from Cesta at the moment paired with The Row, cotton-canvas jacket for quiet structure, balanced with The Chiltern Trousers, or, on warmer days, The Berkley Boxers. Add a good pair of socks and Miu Miu’s leather boat shoes to strike that line between playful and polished. A watch always sharpens the look. Body lotion with citronella and costmary adds a subtle softness that isn’t as harsh as perfumes. Keep your sunglasses close, resting in their holder when not in use.

A button-down shirt or button-down cashmere, paired with silk shorts that are just as good on their own in an outfit as they are with their matching top. For summer ease, turn to dresses like the Jil Sander pink slip dress or the Saint Laurent Lace-trimmed ribbed silk-jersey mini dress, both carrying that effortless sensuality. For your feet, choose between l Le Monde Béryl wedges or the softer touch of Charvet Suede slippers. For jewellery, a Laoli necklace and a single Sophie Bille Brahe earring. When by the pool, the Tom Ford swimsuit completes the rotation, put together with some Knot Cat Eye sunglasses by Bottega.
