The Edit: From Dawn to Dusk
Underwear to outerwear, from nightwear to day
Once confined to the bedroom, these silky pieces have found their place in the light of day. It's turning something traditionally intimate into something worn in the day. I love going back to tailoring; some little shorts with a beautifully cut jacket can give your look a feminine take on tomboy edge.
Delicate cuts styled with a workman’s jacket and trainers can also give this look. Nightwear adds a touch of femininity. Silky sets are beautiful and seductive, adding an elegant touch to something a little rougher around the edges. I usually wear this with trainers or even flip-flops in the summer.
Our cami is perfect paired with a tailored trouser, simple, refined, and effortlessly put-together. It strikes that balance between relaxed and polished.
I am really liking the Prada Cotton tulle slip at the moment. Items like this and the shorts are great with delicate cashmere jumpers wrapped around and or a shirt for layering.
Nighties are perfect for summer, especially from Dôen. They are light, elegant, and endlessly versatile. Add a statement belt and a pair of earrings, a few layering bits here are there, and it’s not just nightwear, it’s a full look. Effortless, elevated, and unexpectedly chic.

A few other pieces that work well from dawn to dusk are: Prada- Tulle midi dress, the most beautiful Isabel Marant - Freda broderie anglaise maxi dress, a simple Prada - triangle-logo dress or Prada lace-trimmed satin midi skirt and of course our The Montagu Silk Lace Dress. They are all soft layers, subtle textures, versatile enough for morning light and evening shadow.

Alex- I’m putting together an outfit for a mid-September cocktail party. Thinking your silk cami and the navy trousers you have styled together on the site with silver low heeled sandals (outdoor). Yes?
As a designer of a silk lingerie collection formerly, I love this story with extra hearts! As a stylist, love the longer slip dress with the brown sandals and baseball cap look with the boys. Also, wanted to add the Carine Gilson Lingerie (https://carinegilson.com) to your lineup of edits.
